Dua Lipa is an English musician and singer who was from London United Kingdom on August 22nd, 1995. Following her stint as a model, she decided to join Warner Bros Records and release her debut album "Dua Lipa" in 2017. The album reached third place in the U.K. Albums Chart and released eight singles, including Be the One I.D.G.A.F and the U.K. number-one single New Rules which peaked at sixth on the charts in the United States. Lipa has been awarded the Brit Awards as a British Female solo artist and British breakout act in the year 2018. Her album was certified platinum worldwide. Dua Lipa, born to Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa A Rexha Lipa and Dukagjin Dukagjin in London she was born on the 22nd of August, 1995. Dua Lipa has Bosnian ancestry through her grandmother. Her ancestry can be traced back to Peja which is a city located in Kosovo. Lipa's grandfathers are both historians. There are two sisters, Rina and Gjin. The father of Lipa, who was a musician and lead singer from the Kosovan group Oda was a major influence on her music. While at home, her dad would play original compositions, along with songs from David Bowie Bob Dylan Radiohead Stereophonics Stereophonics. Lipa began singing at the age of 5 years old. Lipa made her debut record agreement in 2014 with Warner Bros. Records. The first single she released was New Love was released on August 15th, 2015.
