DMX began to rap in the latter part of the 1990s. He released his debut The album It's Hot and Hell is Dark on the 19th of May, 1998. The album was followed by other releases including... and Then There Was X and Great Depression Year of the Dog... Redemption of the Beast, Grand Champ. The album... And Then There was X received the Grammy Award in the year 2001 in the category of Best Rap Album. In addition to his musical activities, he has also been featured in films like Lords of the Street Belly Top Five Exit Wounds Never Die Alone The Bleeding Romeo Has to Die Backstage Beyond the Law Lockjaw Rise of the Kulev Serpent and Fast and Fierce Death Race.
